Spring Travels Part 2

After we left Chicago, we took a little trip down to Navuoo, IL. Navuoo is a small town associated with the history of our church. Ginny has never been and I've been a few times. The pictures obviously cannot convey the spirit felt there but it's such a great place. We stayed in some log cabins right outside of town that helped a bit to get in the mood of being back in the 1800's.

We loved our trip to the state of Illinois. It was a grande adventure of a lot of driving, being pulled over for following too close, real hot dogs, laundry detergent being sold on the side of the road among many others. We enjoyed our time and it helped us to grow closer.

Spring Travels Part 1

Finally, what you've all been waiting for. Well, I'm sure some of you have forgotten, but I promised to post some pictures of our trip to Chicago and Nauvoo, IL. This was a special trip for us. Ginny served her mission in Chicago and has always wanted to go back. I loved being able to see places she went and meeting people whose lives she touched. Here are some pictures of places we went and enjoyed.
We first had to go grab some good food on our way to the infamous Wrigley Field for a cubs game.
We went to Lucky's Sandwich Co.. Those fries were not on the side of the sandwich. They come on the sandwich. It was amazing!
Loved it! We ate a lot that trip.

"Love and Marriage..." Look familiar? It's the same fountain as in the opening credits of Married with Children. It faces Lake Michigan and is a beautiful site!

We saw the Cubs play the Dodgers. What's ironic about that is Ginny hates the Dodgers.

The Bean::I had never heard of it but here it is. I'm not completely sure what it is, yet but I hope you enjoy...

Nauvoo is to come next.
